Arrival in Bogotá and transfer to your hotel

 

Upon arrival in Bogotá, the vibrant capital of Colombia located 2,640 meters above sea level, you will be greeted by our local guide. DAY 2:

Bogotá: flight to Leticia

 

After breakfast, we'll transfer to the airport for our flight to Leticia, the gateway to the Colombian Amazon. During the flight, we'll be able to appreciate the vastness of the rainforest from the air, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet.

 

Upon arrival in Leticia, we'll settle in and get our first taste of the Amazonian environment. Located at the tri-border area of Colombia, Brazil, and Peru, this city offers a unique blend of cultures, traditions, and nature. Depending on the time of day, we can explore the surrounding area and begin discovering the natural and cultural richness of this fascinating region.

 

Accommodation in Leticia and preparation for the experiences that await us in the heart of the Amazon.

DAY 3:

Nature reserve in the Peruvian Amazon

 

After breakfast, we'll meet at the local office in Leticia to begin our Amazon adventure. We'll transfer to the river port and board a boat for approximately 45 minutes along the majestic Amazon River, the world's largest river by volume, until we reach a nature reserve located in Peruvian territory.

 

Upon arrival, we will embark on a two-hour hike through the rainforest, accompanied by local guides who will help us discover the extraordinary biodiversity of the Amazon. During the hike, we will observe ancient trees, medicinal plants, and the lush vegetation that characterizes this unique ecosystem.

 

Upon arriving at the visitor center, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch and a well-deserved rest in hammocks overlooking the reserve's lake, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Later, we'll be assigned cabins for the night.

 

In the afternoon, we'll have the opportunity to participate in various activities, such as kayaking on the lake, birdwatching, traditional piranha fishing, and canoe trips through the reserve's tranquil waterways. As night falls, we'll embark on an exciting caiman-watching excursion, an unforgettable experience that will allow us to discover the fascinating nocturnal life of the Amazon. Dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the rainforest.

DAY 4:

Nature Reserve - Monkey Island - Puerto Nariño

 

After breakfast deep in the Amazon rainforest, we'll begin a hike to the port, where our boat will be waiting to take us on another adventure exploring the natural treasures of the Amazon. We'll navigate the mighty Amazon River until we reach the famous Monkey Island, home to curious monkeys that roam freely in this unique environment.

 

During the journey, we'll admire the spectacular Victoria Regia, the majestic giant Amazonian water lily, a symbol of the region's wetlands. After lunch, we'll continue our voyage in search of the iconic pink and gray Amazon river dolphins, one of the most fascinating experiences of this trip.

 

In the afternoon we will visit the Tikuna indigenous community, where we will have the opportunity to learn about their traditions, their crafts and enjoy a cultural presentation with typical dances that will bring us closer to their rich ancestral heritage.

 

Finally, we'll arrive in Puerto Nariño, considered one of the most sustainable and charming towns in Colombia. After settling into the hotel, those who wish can climb to the panoramic viewpoint to admire a spectacular view of the Amazon rainforest and the confluence of rivers stretching to the horizon. DAY 5:

Relax in the Amazon - night ceremony with the shaman

 

After breakfast, we'll enjoy a free day in Puerto Nariño, one of the most charming and sustainable towns in the Colombian Amazon. Surrounded by the vastness of the rainforest and the waters of the Amazon River, this tranquil corner invites you to discover local life at a leisurely pace.

 

We can stroll along its pedestrian streets, visit the panoramic viewpoint with spectacular views over the rainforest, observe tropical birds, or simply relax contemplating the surrounding nature. Puerto Nariño offers a unique opportunity to disconnect from the modern world and immerse ourselves in the essence of the Amazon.

 

As night falls, we will experience something truly special. We will meet with an Amazonian shaman, a guardian of ancient knowledge passed down through generations, who will share aspects of the indigenous worldview and its close relationship with nature. In an intimate and respectful setting, we will participate in a traditional ceremony of harmonization and spiritual connection, accompanied by songs, rituals, and ancestral teachings.

 

A unique evening that will allow us to approach the wisdom of the Amazonian peoples and better understand the profound connection between human beings and the jungle.

Puerto Nariño - Leticia

 

After the intense experience of last night's ceremony, we'll enjoy a peaceful morning to rest, connect with nature, and process everything we've experienced in the heart of the Amazon. We'll have free time to stroll through Puerto Nariño, admire the jungle landscapes, visit its small artisan shops, or simply relax by the river, observing the daily life of this charming Amazonian village.

 

After lunch, we'll head to the port to embark on a journey along the majestic Amazon River to Leticia. During the trip, we'll once again enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the rainforest, observe birds, and experience the immensity of one of the most extraordinary ecosystems on the planet.

 

Upon arrival in Leticia, transfer to the hotel and free time to relax or explore the city. A final opportunity to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Colombian Amazon before continuing our journey to new destinations.

DAY 7:

Leticia - flight to Medellín

 

After breakfast, we'll transfer to Leticia Airport for our flight to Medellín, one of Latin America's most innovative and dynamic cities. We'll leave behind the vastness of the Amazon rainforest and venture into the heart of the Colombian Andes.

 

Upon arrival, you'll be struck by the contrast between the lush Amazon rainforest and the modern transformation of Medellín, known as the City of Eternal Spring thanks to its pleasant year-round climate. Surrounded by verdant mountains, Medellín combines a vibrant urban life, a rich cultural scene, and a history of resilience that has made it a global benchmark for innovation and development.

 

After transferring to the hotel, you'll have free time to relax or begin exploring some of the city's charms, such as its plazas, parks, cafes, and lively neighborhoods. Overnight in Medellín.

Medellín - flight to Nuquí (Colombian Pacific)

 

After breakfast, we'll transfer to the airport for our flight to Nuquí, a remote and fascinating destination on Colombia's Pacific coast. In just over an hour, we'll travel from the modern city of Medellín to one of Colombia's most pristine and biodiverse regions.

 

Upon arrival, we'll be greeted by an environment where the rainforest meets the Pacific Ocean, creating spectacular landscapes of pristine beaches, crystal-clear rivers, and lush vegetation. Nuquí is a true paradise for nature lovers and a destination still relatively undiscovered by mass tourism.

 

After transferring to your accommodation, you'll have time to relax, enjoy the surroundings, and experience the unhurried pace of this unique region. Depending on the season, you might spot exotic birds, discover the area's natural wonders, or simply admire the power of the ocean from the beach.

 

Dinner and accommodation in Nuquí, where days of connection with nature await us in one of the most authentic corners of Colombia.

DAY 9:

Nuquí - ecological hike to the waterfall

 

After breakfast, we'll venture into the lush rainforest of the Colombian Pacific coast for a guided ecological hike. Along the way, we'll discover one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet, surrounded by giant trees, tropical plants, exotic birds, and the characteristic sounds of the Chocó rainforest.

 

Following natural trails used by local communities, we will arrive at a beautiful waterfall hidden among the vegetation, where we can enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters and contemplate the beauty of this practically untouched environment.

 

During the excursion, we'll explore the region's natural wealth and the close relationship its inhabitants have with this unique ecosystem. It's the perfect experience to connect with nature, breathe fresh air, and discover the authentic essence of the Colombian Pacific.

 

Return to the accommodation. Rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the beach, relax by the ocean or simply contemplate the stunning landscapes of Nuquí.

Nuquí - bathing in the thermal pools

 

After breakfast, we'll enjoy a day dedicated to wellness and connecting with nature. We'll head to the famous Nuquí hot springs, a hidden gem nestled in the Colombian Pacific rainforest, where volcanic hot springs emerge, renowned for their relaxing and revitalizing properties.

 

The journey to the hot springs will allow us to admire the region's lush vegetation and discover the extraordinary biodiversity that characterizes the Chocó biogeographic region. Once there, we can immerse ourselves in its warm, natural waters and enjoy a moment of true relaxation surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.

 

This privileged setting invites you to disconnect from the daily grind, breathe fresh air, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of one of Colombia's most pristine landscapes. A perfect experience to revitalize body and mind in the heart of nature.

DAY 11:

Nuquí - flight to Medellín

 

After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the wild beaches and lush nature of the Colombian Pacific to transfer to Nuquí airport and take the flight back to Medellín.

 

During the flight, we'll be able to admire from above the breathtaking contrast between the rainforest, the rivers that wind through the vegetation, and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. A final opportunity to marvel at one of Colombia's most biodiverse and least explored regions.

 

Upon arrival in Medellín, transfer to the hotel and free time to relax or enjoy the city. Known as the City of Eternal Spring, Medellín offers a vibrant atmosphere, excellent cuisine, and an appealing blend of culture, innovation, and tradition.

DAY 12:

Medellín: flight to Panama

 

After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport to take the flight to Panama City, a vibrant metropolis where modernity coexists with centuries of history and tradition.

 

Upon arrival, we will be struck by the city's impressive skyline, dominated by modern skyscrapers that contrast with the colonial charm of its historic neighborhoods and its strategic location between two oceans. Panama is a meeting point of cultures and one of the most dynamic economic centers in Latin America.

 

After the transfer to the hotel, we will have free time to begin discovering the city and preparing for one of the great experiences of the trip: the visit to the Panama Canal, one of the most impressive engineering works in the world, which has connected the Atlantic and Pacific oceans for more than a century and has turned the country into a key point of international maritime trade.

DAY 13:

Panama Canal, Fort San Lorenzo and Old Town of Panama

 

After breakfast, we'll depart for the historic Fort San Lorenzo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by the Spanish in the late 16th century to protect the entrance to the Chagres River, this fortress was a key element in the defense of the Spanish Empire's trade routes in the Caribbean. From its walls, we'll enjoy breathtaking views over the river's mouth and learn about the stories of privateers and pirates who shaped the region's history, including the infamous Henry Morgan.

 

Next, we'll head to the Miraflores Visitor Center, where we can observe the operation of the legendary Panama Canal, one of the world's most important engineering feats. From the observation decks, we'll have the opportunity to watch enormous ships pass through the locks and understand the strategic importance of this interoceanic waterway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

 

In the afternoon, we'll return to the city for a pleasant stroll through Panama's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll wander its cobblestone streets, historic plazas, colonial churches, and elegantly restored buildings, discovering the city's fascinating history. From its plazas and promenades, we'll also admire spectacular views of Panama City's modern skyline.

DAY 14:

Panama Canal - San Blas: the most authentic Caribbean

 

Very early in the morning, we'll begin our adventure to the autonomous territory of Guna Yala, home to the Guna indigenous people and one of the most authentic paradises in the Caribbean. We'll travel in 4x4 vehicles, crossing the rainforest-covered mountains that separate Panama City from the Caribbean coast. Along the way, we'll witness a fascinating contrast between the modern skyscrapers of the capital and the natural landscapes that will accompany us until we reach the small port of Cartí.

 

Upon arrival, we will board a speedboat to sail through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea towards Isla Aguja, one of the jewels of the San Blas archipelago, made up of more than 360 islands and islets of white sand, palm trees and crystal clear waters.

 

After a freshly prepared lunch featuring local products, we'll have the afternoon free to enjoy this authentic tropical paradise. We can relax under the palm trees, swim in the warm Caribbean waters, stroll around the island, or simply unwind in an environment of extraordinary natural beauty.

 

San Blas is one of the few places in the Caribbean that has preserved its original essence, where the rhythm of life is still dictated by nature and the traditions of the Guna people. Accommodation for two nights in comfortable cabins with private bathrooms and full board.

DAY 15:

Paradise islands of San Blas

 

After breakfast, we'll explore the wonders of the San Blas archipelago, a paradise comprised of over 365 islands and islets with white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, only a small portion of which are inhabited by the indigenous Guna people. During our visit, we'll also learn about some of their most representative traditions, such as the famous molas, authentic works of art handcrafted with colourful textiles that reflect nature, animals and the worldview of this ancestral culture. We will also gain an insight into the traditional way of life that the Guna people have preserved for generations.

 

Our first stop will be Isla Perro, one of the archipelago's most famous islands. Here, we'll have the opportunity to snorkel alongside a sunken shipwreck, now a haven for tropical fish and marine life. Beneath the crystal-clear waters, we'll discover a fascinating world of coral, multicoloured fish and stunning underwater landscapes.

 

We will continue the excursion with a stop at the spectacular Sunken Island, a small sandbar surrounded by turquoise waters where we can swim, relax and enjoy one of the most photogenic settings in the Caribbean. Its white sand and transparent waters create a truly spectacular tropical landscape.

 

We will then return to Isla Aguja for lunch and a relaxing afternoon in this authentic tropical paradise. Free time to enjoy the beach, swim in the warm Caribbean waters, stroll among the palm trees or simply unwind while gazing at the intense blue of the Caribbean Sea.

DAY 16:

Paradise islands of San Blas

 

After breakfast, we'll enjoy another day in the paradise of San Blas, a place where time seems to stand still and nature retains all its pristine beauty. The day will be dedicated to exploring the daily life of the Guna people, one of the best-preserved indigenous communities in Latin America.

 

We will have the opportunity to visit a local community to learn about its traditions, way of life, and the artisanal production of the famous molas, colorful textiles that are one of Panama's most representative artistic expressions. This encounter will allow us to connect with a culture that has preserved its identity and customs for generations.

 

The rest of the day will be free to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, swim, snorkel, stroll along the beach or simply relax under the shade of the palm trees while contemplating one of the most spectacular landscapes in Central America.

 

At sunset, we can admire the colors of the sun reflecting on the Caribbean Sea, creating a magical and unforgettable atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay on Isla Aguja.

DAY 17:

Return to Panama City

 

After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the paradisiacal islands of San Blas and board a speedboat that will take us back to the port of Cartí, enjoying for the last time the crystal clear waters and spectacular landscapes of the Panamanian Caribbean.

 

Upon arrival, we will continue our journey in 4x4 vehicles, traversing the mountains and lush rainforest of the Guna Yala indigenous territory. During the trip, we will admire the breathtaking natural landscapes that contrast with the modern silhouette of Panama City, which will gradually appear on the horizon.

 

Arrival in Panama City and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax, do some last-minute shopping, enjoy the local cuisine, or stroll around the city. An excellent opportunity to make the most of your last few hours in Panama before continuing your journey.

DAY 18:

Panama City - Tocumen Airport

 

After breakfast, we'll enjoy our last few hours in Panama. The morning will be perfect for strolling through the city, discovering some of its favorite spots, doing some last-minute shopping, or simply relaxing and reminiscing about the experiences we've had during this extraordinary journey that has taken us from the Colombian Amazon to the paradisiacal islands of San Blas.

 

It will be a time to relive encounters with indigenous communities, the landscapes of the rainforest, the pristine beaches of the Pacific, the magic of the Amazon, the impressive Panama Canal, and the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. A journey filled with nature, culture, and authentic experiences that will remain in your memory long after you return home.

 

At the agreed time, transfer to the international airport to take the return flight.

 

Goodbye, Panama! Thank you for sharing with us the natural, cultural, and human richness of this fascinating country. We say goodbye with the certainty that every trip leaves indelible marks and with the hope of meeting again on a new adventure through Latin America.
