DAY 1 / SATURDAY:
Arrival in Bogotá and transfer to your hotel
Upon arrival in Bogotá, the vibrant capital of Colombia located 2,640 meters above sea level, you will be greeted by our local guide. A private transfer to your hotel will then be provided, along with check-in and some time to relax after your long flight. Depending on your arrival time, you can begin exploring the atmosphere of this fascinating city, where colonial history blends seamlessly with modernity and Colombian culture.
DAY 2 / SUNDAY:
City tour of Bogotá
After breakfast, we'll discover Bogotá's main attractions with our guide. We'll explore the historic La Candelaria neighborhood, with its cobblestone streets, colorful colonial facades, and plazas steeped in history. We'll visit the famous Gold Museum and take the cable car or funicular up Monserrate Hill, where we'll enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the capital. Since it's Sunday, we'll also experience the unique atmosphere of the traditional Ciclovía, when many of the main avenues are closed to traffic and filled with pedestrians, cyclists, and cultural activities.
DAY 3 / MONDAY:
Heading to the Heart of Putumayo
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Asís, gateway to the lush Amazonian region of Putumayo. Upon arrival, we will visit Finca La Fortuna, a beautiful sustainable tourism project surrounded by rainforest and breathtaking landscapes.
During the visit, we will learn about the lifestyle of the local communities, tour the farm accompanied by its hosts, and discover the region's natural wealth, with its lush vegetation, traditional crops, and great biodiversity. It will be an excellent opportunity to understand the close relationship between the inhabitants of Putumayo and nature, enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the Amazonian countryside, and experience an authentic first encounter with this fascinating region of southern Colombia.
At the end of the visit, transfer to the hotel in Puerto Asís, accommodation and time to rest before continuing our adventure through the Colombian Amazon.
DAY 4 / TUESDAY:
Adventure on the Caquetá River
After breakfast, we'll depart for Puerto Limón, traveling through the lush landscapes of the Colombian Amazon. There, an exciting adventure awaits us on the Caquetá River, one of Colombia's great Amazonian rivers.
We'll enjoy a fun tubing experience, drifting along the gentle current while taking in the rainforest, breathtaking landscapes, and extraordinary biodiversity surrounding the river. It will be the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and soak up the unique atmosphere of this region.
After the activity, we will continue our road trip to Mocoa, the capital of the Putumayo department. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, check-in, and free time to rest and prepare for our upcoming experiences in the heart of the Colombian Amazon.
DAY 5 / WEDNESDAY:
End of the World and an encounter with ancestral wisdom
After breakfast, we'll hike through the jungle to the spectacular Fin del Mundo waterfall, one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in Putumayo. During the hike, we'll enjoy lush vegetation, natural viewpoints, and the rich flora and fauna of the Amazon rainforest, until we reach the imposing waterfall, where we'll have time to admire the scenery and connect with nature.
In the afternoon, we will have a profoundly spiritual experience with Taita José, a renowned leader and wise elder of the Inga community. We will participate in a traditional ceremony where we will learn about the Amazonian worldview, sacred plants, and ancestral medicine, in a space of respect, reflection, and connection with the ancient indigenous traditions of Putumayo.
Return to the hotel and accommodation in Mocoa.
DAY 6 / THURSDAY:
From the Heart of the Amazon to the Coffee Region
After breakfast we will return to Puerto Asís airport to take the flight to Bogotá, where we will connect to our next destination: Pereira, gateway to the famous Coffee Region, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Upon arrival, we'll travel by road to the charming town of Salento, considered one of the most beautiful in Colombia. Its cobblestone streets, colorful colonial houses, and the tranquil atmosphere of the coffee region will welcome us to a place steeped in tradition and natural beauty. Accommodation and free time to enjoy the charm of this picturesque Andean town.
DAY 7 / FRIDAY:
Among giant palm trees and the aromas of coffee
After breakfast, we'll head to the spectacular Cocora Valley, home to the wax palm, Colombia's national tree and the tallest palm tree in the world. We'll hike through this breathtaking Andean landscape, surrounded by mist-shrouded mountains, verdant meadows, and cloud forests, enjoying one of the country's most iconic natural settings.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the traditional Finca Ocaso, where we'll learn about the entire Colombian coffee production process, from cultivation and harvesting to roasting and preparing the perfect cup. We'll conclude the experience with a specialty coffee tasting while discovering the secrets of one of Colombia's most iconic products.
Return to Salento and accommodation.
DAY 8 / SATURDAY:
Heading to the city of eternal spring
After breakfast, we'll transfer to Pereira Airport for our flight to Medellín, known as the City of Eternal Spring. Upon arrival, we'll transfer to our hotel and have free time to begin exploring one of Latin America's most innovative cities, famous for its pleasant climate, urban transformation, and the warmth of its people. Overnight stay.
DAY 9 / SUNDAY:
Rebirth of Medellín
After breakfast, we'll take a guided tour of Medellín, a city that has become a symbol of innovation and urban transformation. We'll discover its main attractions, such as Botero Plaza, where the famous sculptures of artist Fernando Botero are exhibited, the historic center, and the modern transportation system that has revolutionized the city's mobility.
We will also visit Comuna 13, one of Medellín's most iconic neighborhoods, now renowned for its colorful graffiti, artistic expressions, music, and outdoor escalators. Wandering its streets, we will learn about its transformation and the resilient spirit of its community.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 10 / MONDAY:
Colors of Guatapé and the Peñol Rock
After breakfast, we'll head towards Guatapé, considered one of the most colorful towns in Colombia. Along the way, we'll stop at the impressive Piedra del Peñol, a gigantic monolith over 200 meters high. Those who wish can climb its 740 steps to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over the reservoir and its countless islands.
We'll continue to Guatapé, where we'll stroll through its charming streets adorned with colorful baseboards, plazas, and flower-filled balconies, discovering the history and traditions of this picturesque Antioquian town. After the visit, we'll return to Medellín for overnight accommodation.
DAY 11 / TUESDAY:
Adventure in Rio Claro
After breakfast, we'll depart for the Río Claro Nature Reserve, one of Colombia's most stunning natural wonders. This paradise of crystal-clear waters, tropical forests, and marble formations offers an ideal setting to enjoy nature in its purest form.
During the visit, we'll explore ecological trails surrounded by lush vegetation, observe the region's rich biodiversity, and enjoy the river's stunning emerald waters. For the more adventurous, optional activities such as rafting, zip-lining, or caving will be available, depending on conditions and availability.
At the end of the excursion, return to Medellín and accommodation.
DAY 12 / WEDNESDAY:
Heading to the Colombian Caribbean
After breakfast, we'll transfer to Medellín airport for our flight to Santa Marta, Colombia's oldest city and gateway to the Colombian Caribbean. Upon arrival, we'll transfer to our hotel and have free time to enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere, stroll along the boardwalk, or relax by the sea. Overnight in Santa Marta.
DAY 13 / THURSDAY:
Playa Cristal - a paradise in Tayrona
After breakfast, we'll head to Tayrona National Natural Park, where we'll board a boat to the spectacular Playa Cristal, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Colombian Caribbean. Its crystal-clear waters, white sand, and coral reefs make it an ideal place to relax, swim, or snorkel.
We will enjoy free time to contemplate this privileged natural environment, surrounded by the lush vegetation of Tayrona National Park and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. At the end of the excursion, we will return to Santa Marta and check into our hotel.
DAY 14 / FRIDAY:
Cape San Juan - the icon of Tayrona
After breakfast, we'll head to Tayrona National Natural Park for a hike along trails surrounded by rainforest, where we'll have the opportunity to observe the extraordinary flora and fauna of this unique ecosystem. During the hike, we'll pass by idyllic beaches such as Arrecifes, La Piscina, and Cabo San Juan, the park's most iconic spot.
In Cabo San Juan, we'll enjoy free time to relax, swim in the warm Caribbean waters, and admire one of Colombia's most photographed landscapes, where the rainforest meets the crystal-clear sea. After the excursion, we'll return to Santa Marta and check into our hotel.
DAY 15 / SATURDAY:
Heading to Cartagena de Indias
After breakfast, we'll begin our road trip to Cartagena de Indias, traveling along the Colombian Caribbean coast and enjoying the region's tropical landscapes. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
The rest of the day will be free to begin discovering the charm of this colonial city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, stroll through its colorful streets of the Getsemaní neighborhood, historic walls and lively squares, or simply enjoy the unmistakable Caribbean atmosphere.
DAY 16 / SUNDAY:
Cartagena de Indias - the jewel of the Caribbean
After breakfast, we will take a comprehensive guided tour of Cartagena de Indias, considered one of the most beautiful colonial cities in the Americas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will discover the charm of its Historic Center, surrounded by imposing walls, where we will stroll along its narrow cobblestone streets, admire colorful colonial facades, see balconies overflowing with flowers, and explore plazas steeped in history that evoke the splendor of the colonial era.
During the tour, we will visit the impressive San Felipe de Barajas Castle, the largest military fortress built by the Spanish in the Americas, where we will learn about Cartagena's strategic importance during the colonial era. We will also stroll through the city's most emblematic neighborhoods, enjoying their vibrant Caribbean atmosphere, architecture, historic churches, and perfectly preserved colonial buildings.
At the end of the visit, return to the hotel. The rest of the afternoon will be free to continue exploring Cartagena at your own pace, enjoy its cafes, artisan shops, or simply let yourself be seduced by the unmistakable charm of the Colombian Caribbean.
DAY 17 / MONDAY:
Rosario Islands - the Caribbean paradise
After breakfast we will transfer to the dock to embark towards the archipelago of the Rosario Islands, a group of more than 20 islands surrounded by crystal clear waters and coral reefs, belonging to the Corales del Rosario and San Bernardo National Natural Park.
During the excursion, we'll enjoy a relaxing day on white-sand beaches, with time to swim, snorkel, or simply unwind by the Caribbean Sea. The natural surroundings, extraordinary marine biodiversity, and intense turquoise hues of the sea make this one of Colombia's most spectacular destinations.
In the afternoon we will return by boat to Cartagena, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 18 / TUESDAY:
See you soon, Colombia
Breakfast and free time to enjoy your last few hours in Cartagena de Indias, according to your flight schedule. At the designated time, transfer to the international airport for your return flight.
