DAY 1:
Arrival in Cartagena de Indias and transfer to your hotel
Arrival in Cartagena de Indias, one of the most fascinating cities in the Colombian Caribbean. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred privately to your hotel. Enjoy your accommodation and free time to relax or begin exploring the tropical and colonial atmosphere of this wonderful city.
DAY 2:
Cartagena: the colonial jewel of the Caribbean
We will discover Cartagena de Indias, one of the most fascinating and colorful colonial cities in the Americas. Accompanied by our guide, we will explore the historic Walled City, strolling through its charming plazas, churches, elegant colonial mansions, and narrow streets adorned with flower-filled balconies. We will learn about the history, legends, and rich cultural heritage of this Caribbean gem, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the tour, we will also enjoy the lively local atmosphere, the colonial architecture, and the most photogenic corners of a city where history blends with the joy and rhythm of the Colombian Caribbean.
DAY 3:
Rosario Islands: a paradise of turquoise waters
We'll depart from Cartagena for an unforgettable day in the idyllic Rosario Islands, a beautiful archipelago surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Colombian Caribbean. We'll sail among small islands, coral reefs, and tropical landscapes until we reach white-sand beaches, where we'll have time to relax, swim, and enjoy the sea. Those who wish can snorkel and discover the rich underwater world. A perfect day of nature, sun, and authentic Caribbean atmosphere.
DAY 4:
Heading to Santa Marta: between the Caribbean and the Sierra Nevada
After breakfast, depart Cartagena and transfer by road to Santa Marta, traveling along the Colombian Caribbean coast. During the journey, enjoy the region's tropical landscapes until you reach one of Colombia's oldest cities, nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the imposing Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range. DAY 5:
Playa Cristal: a hidden paradise in the Caribbean
We'll venture into the spectacular landscapes of Tayrona National Natural Park to discover Playa Cristal, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Colombian Caribbean. Surrounded by tropical vegetation and mountains, this tranquil bay surprises visitors with its crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life. We'll have time to swim, relax on the beach, and snorkel among tropical fish. A perfect day to enjoy nature and the unparalleled beauty of Tayrona.
DAY 6:
Cabo San Juan: where the jungle embraces the Caribbean
We will venture into the spectacular Tayrona National Natural Park to discover Cabo San Juan, one of the most iconic spots on the Colombian Caribbean coast. We will hike along trails surrounded by lush rainforest, palm trees, and coastal landscapes until we reach its famous golden sand beaches, framed by enormous rocks and crystal-clear waters. We will have time to swim, relax, and enjoy this paradise where the Sierra Nevada mountains meet the Caribbean Sea.
DAY 7-11:
Lost City: 5 days following in the footsteps of the Tayrona
For five days, we'll experience an authentic adventure through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, following ancient indigenous trails through rainforest, mountains, and crystal-clear rivers. We'll hike through the ancestral territories of the Sierra's communities, traversing spectacular landscapes and spending the nights in camps nestled in nature.
The highlight will be arriving at the legendary Lost City (Teyuna), an ancient settlement built by the Tayrona civilization over a thousand years ago. After ascending its iconic stone steps, we will discover terraces, paths, and archaeological remains hidden among the vegetation. An unforgettable expedition that combines adventure, history, nature, and a respectful encounter with the ancestral cultures of Colombia.
Return to Santa Marta.
DAY 12:
Hasta pronto Colombia: farewell to the Caribbean
After breakfast, and depending on your flight schedule, you'll have free time to enjoy your last moments in Santa Marta. At the designated time, you'll be transferred privately to the airport for your return flight or to continue on to your next destination. Our services conclude, and we bid farewell to Colombia after an unforgettable adventure through colonial cities, rainforests, ancient cultures, and the idyllic Caribbean coast.
